Sensory System

Systems 2 – Sensory System
The Human Sensory System is comprised of these elements & activities:

What It Is……

SENSORY SYSTEM: The Sensory System (SS) is the same as the human body; the physical and measurable vehicle through which Awareness attends to its sole “task”/ability of observing physical existence (and sometimes some non-physical existence). The SS is the complete physical human organism, including every aspect of physical and electro-chemical activity, from sensory input, to electro-chemical impulse transference, to eventual motor-muscular response mechanisms. In its simplest definition, the human body is an energy/information-processing machine, perceiving vibrational information and both storing and responding to that information.

Here is an example of the Sensory System:

This example is an easy one – the best example of a Sensory System is your complete physical body! Nothing more, nothing less. From the skin surface inward. Any energies you might feel beyond the skin surface are probably layers of Awareness System energy.

{If you are one of the few who no longer recognizes things like body surface boundaries, and sees us all as just another non-dual vibratory level united with the great infinite whatever, you might skim over some of this section. We will cover those more cosmic systems later…}

What It Does……

INPUT: Input is the act of the five physical senses perceiving multi-level vibratory external or internal environmental energy data/events (Stimuli); and then that sensed data travels throughout the neural network via electro-chemical vibrational signals, measured as frequency and amplitude. The senses are like microphones, which initially receive an input energetic signal, in the form of waves of amplitude and frequency. Then the SS converts these signals of energy into something that the various parts of the physical body can process. It is originally and initially the intent of the Awareness System to conduct and control the energy processing. It is the job of the SS to carry that out. The SS works for the AS.

Here is an example of Input:

This one is fairly straight-forward as well – you input information about the world around you through your eyes, ears, nose, mouth, and skin surface. When one of these sense organs makes contact with something in the environment, that sense organ creates an electro-chemical signal that then travels through internal communication networks (like nerves and chemical reactions) to be processed by the rest of the body.

STORAGE: Storage is performed by the physical brain, muscles, and body components where accumulated energy data relating to an experienced event is placed for later processing.
If the AS and SS are experiencing a relatively stress-free energetic environment, then the storage process is not needed. But if the sensory system experiences too much stimulation, and too quickly, then the storage process kicks in.

Here is an example of Storage:

Signals are stored in both the brain as well as other parts of the body, including muscle tissue. Wherever nerve signals go, there you will find messages stored. If too much info comes in at one time (like trying to memorize a long list of names, or experiencing a very traumatic event), then that data needs to be stored to be processed at a later time. All of your ‘thoughts/beliefs’ are the “things” that are stored, especially including ‘memories’. They are not the storage areas themselves.

PROCESSING: Processing, similar to that ability of the Awareness System, is the full sensory experience of “feeling” the energy impact of any Stimulus (environmental event), be it the stimulus of a present event, or the re-stimulation of a retained/stored event (‘memories’). The SS received the energy through input, and then the brain and body decide how they “feel” about that energetic event. Some of these events are fun and pleasurable, some are too intense and painful. However, ALL events must be processed eventually!!

Here is an example of Processing:

  • Let’s say you fall off your bike onto a grassy yard. First, your body is going to process the sensations directly connected to that fall: the ground surface texture, the body parts affected, the local sounds and smells near the event, etc. But you are also going to process beliefs that are connected to this event: thoughts of past falls, feelings of “failure” and “frustration”, an old knee ache that was first triggered when you fell off your bike the first time a year ago. At this point in the processing experience, you will make one of several choices: 1.) ignore the event and everything about it, 2.) build it into a bigger event and memory to carry with you forever, or 3.) use it as a personal anecdote or story to tell others to gain their attention and sympathy.

OUTPUT: Output is the act of the physical SS responding/reacting to the energy impact of any Stimulus (environmental energy event).

The choice of the “most appropriate” output method (Response) is originally determined by the Awareness System’s intention to fully process the Stimulus. For the Awareness System to process any Stimulus, first it will intend to use the Sensory tools of the SS. The expected initial SS activity, upon receiving an energy-based Stimulus, will be to direct the physical body to interpret (to feel or sense) the energy intensity within that event, and then, if necessary, to actively respond to that Stimulus. If for some reason it is not presently able to do this, the AS attentive force creates and stores/retains a pattern/program/belief that will later be used (focused on) during the retrieval of that Stimulation data.

Awareness (more exactly, that individuated “Consciousness” created by Awareness) intends for the biological SS to survive any potentially destructive Stimuli, so the chosen created Responses will include the SS’s ability to replicate some events or avoid other events.

Here is an example of Output:

The simplest example of “output” is your physical actions and re-actions. You felt a stimulus, and now you are programmed for your body to respond to that stimulus. A not-so-obvious example of “output” is when your response to an event is to “think about it” or run a mental video over and over, or to connect the event to a lifetime of similar events. From the outside, no one can see you performing these responses, or output actions. But about 100% of your thoughts are nothing more than responses to events that have occurred to you in your life. Beliefs are created from these internal responses.

Here is an exercise to experience the four different steps for processing energy through the  Sensory System:

1.) Input: You are walking down the street, and you pass a stranger who is very attractive to you. You see, you hear, you may accidentally touch, you might smell a perfume – the five senses collect data on that event.

2.) Storage: Your body, by way of nerve cells, the brain, and other tissues attempt to reproduce an image of that person, and all these accumulated signals you just experienced.

3.) Processing: When you get home, you  run these images and sensations back through your belief system. Did that person look like someone you’ve met before? Did you pick up any other signals as to how to contact them later? Are you sure they smiled at you as you walked by? Or did they turn away slightly? Did any of your impressions trigger any unpleasant memories, such as getting dumped by someone with similar-colored hair back in high school? Are you ready to start a new relationship if you see this person again? What if you get hurt again – is it worth the risk? See how busy the belief system can get?

4.) Output choices:

a.) You will choose to enjoy the memory of passing this person, breathe slowly into the pleasant sensations that arose in you, and then release that event back to from whence it came,

b.) You will choose to obsess over this meeting, forever wondering what it means: is it a sign? is it destiny? would they like you in return? But you won’t lift a finger to do anything about it,

c.) You not only lift your finger, but you lift your whole body, and, at the same time of day, you return to the same spot, in hopes of completing the first steps in a new potential relationship.
