PTP & The Meaning Of Life

PTP and “The Meaning of Life”

I was not yet a teenager when I actively began looking for the “meaning of life.” But it was a very strong calling to me, despite my youth and lack of direction.
I hit the religions of the world, the eastern and western philosophies, the chemical and natural paths of illumination, but still found myself looking for more stones to turn, more paths to take.

Finally, through a series of soul-deep shocks and glorious surprises, I found it – the answer to the unanswerable question. My life was complete. I could now dis-incarnate!

“But, wait! Not so fast!” some other part of me said to my satisfied mind. “Now you need to try this out, and then later, you need to share what you found with others.”

Well, to be honest with you, I didn’t need much convincing to hang around in this old body for a while longer. After all, I was still only in my mid-thirties, and I hadn’t produced my rock musical yet!

So, now to get to the point of why you may have flipped to this page — The Meaning of Life, according to the PTP philosophy:

PTP and The Meaning of Life

We, as humans, consist of only two aspects, Awareness and Energy. Awareness is able, through the use of focused attention, to create fields of energy around itself. These fields all serve different purposes, but the first field created is called “Consciousness.” This is the field that gives the human its first glimpse of the notion “I am something.” “I exist.”

Consciousness then can decide to create a wide variety of other forms with which to surround itself. Hopefully, eventually, it chooses to take on a physical body, since that seems to be one way to experience a bunch of neat things on this particular planet. Along with that body comes a brain, used for storage of the many impressions that Aware consciousness will receive during each daily event of its new life. These accumulating collections of impressions are stored both in the human physical brain, as well as in some of the various energy fields that surround the Aware consciousness.

It is this collection of energy patterns that come to be known as “Beliefs.” Small ones, and simple at first, they tend to grow at an exponential rate, until the human brain and energy field have stored vast numbers of these impressions. These collected beliefs together become known as the Belief System. Hurrah! The human now has a mind! The mind consists of nothing more than these temporary stored packages of energy.

Very soon after the first Belief units are collected, Awareness uses the tools of the human body (the sensory system) to try out different combinations of these Beliefs, to store them according to similar and divergent energetic vibrations. By this process, not only do we have simple initial beliefs, but we also begin to have higher order levels of Belief creations — Deep Thoughts!

Unfortunately for poor Awareness, the Belief System begins to demand almost all of the organism’s energy to maintain itself at any cost. And there’s no backing out now! The ever-expanding Belief System is much like the giant flower in Little Shop of Horrors. “Feed me MORE!!!!!” it demands, day after endless day.

Hey, buddy, what’s going on here? I thought I asked about the “Meaning of Life!” Well, little pilgrim, here is your final answer:

1.) Awareness itself needs no meaning to exist. It simply is one of the two rawest and most basic aspects of the universe, along with Energy.

2.) It is the temporarily created and pain/pleasure-driven Belief System (the BS) that demands meaning and order from its many parts. Without the Belief System, Awareness needs no meaning. With a Belief System, the BS doesn’t believe that it can keep itself alive unless it perpetually seeks to shape itself into some new form that it keeps thinking is greater than before.

You see, it is the BS that creates Past and Future. Awareness only exists in the Present. In order to create “Meaning,” you must also create the Right/Wrong game in which it can compare other versions of Meaning. It’s like “Meaning” is good and useful, and “Meaningless” is nasty and bad and wrong.
Poor Belief System. Without the Right/Wrong game to play, it wouldn’t have much to do, and its very existence might be threatened.

And, Folks! The existence of the Belief System WILL NOT BE THREATENED, NO MATTER WHAT THE COST TO THAT STUPID BODY THAT IT WALKS AROUND IN EVERY DAY!!!!!!!

So, now you must choose: Maintain the limited, self-oriented, energy-consuming & wasting Belief System at all costs, seeking yet another new form of Meaning in your life, OR begin to realize that you have a deeper part of you that requires no Meaning at all in order to exist quite peacefully, thank you. That deeper aspect is your Awareness, the part of you/god that is connected to absolutely every other part of you/god in the universe.

Now, are you any better off for having heard me profess yet another Belief for you to ponder?

Most things that I write anymore are fairly light-hearted “tongue-in-cheek” pieces, so remember to take yourself (along with these BS’s) “lightly”!
